Frequently asked questions
What is yoga?
Yoga is a practice that brings together the mind, body, and breath. You can read more about my yoga philosophies here.
Who should practice yoga?
Anyone who is interested in deepening their relationship with themself, others, and the world around them will benefit from a yoga practice.
What are the benefits of yoga?
The benefits of a yoga practice include increased physical strength and flexibility, improved cardiovascular health, improved posture, reduced levels of stress, improved sleep, and more.
Should I avoid yoga if I’m pregnant, injured, or have health conditions?
Yoga can be a great tool for pregnant women, as well as those with injuries or health conditions. However, be sure to practice with caution and always inform your teacher about any conditions in advance to ensure that you are safe.
I’m not flexible. Should I avoid yoga?
You don’t need to be flexible to practice yoga — in fact, yoga can help you build flexibility over time. Props like blocks and straps can help you practice poses in a way that works for your unique body. Remember that yoga is not about what the pose looks like on the outside, but what happens on the inside during your practice.
